Restorative yoga is a calming practice that focuses on opening up the body through passive stretching exercises. In class, postures are held for long periods of time using aids such as yoga blocks, blankets and polsters. The practice emphasizes the unity of body and mind and promotes deep relaxation. As a result, tensions are released from both body and mind. Restorative yoga is suitable for all levels and its benefits include reduced stress, relaxation, better sleep and increased overall well-being. It’s a great way to find inner peace and recovery.
